Dear friends and family,
Stacey and I hope this Christmas season finds you all happy and well. Once again we’re sending out a digital holiday greeting, this year using one of Stacey’s photographs of Central Park in winter, because there really isn’t anything quite like a Christmas in New York.
Speaking of, this has been the most exciting and wonderful year for us getting settled in our new home. After living for a time on the Lower East Side and a couple of places in Brooklyn, we finally found a gorgeous Victorian apartment on the Upper West Side just half a block from Central Park that we now call our permanent home. Although Stacey misses the dumplings of Chinatown and I miss the artisnal doughnuts of Williamsburg, we're thrilled to be living so close to the park and all the museums. Plus, we're just minutes from all the Broadway theaters, which means we're watching the Tony awards a little more closely these days.
Stacey has been very busy with a number of projects to expand our little Thinx empire and her blog continues to grow more popular. She even got highlighted by Tumblr for having one of the top posts of the year! Stacey's photography portfolio has exploded in size since moving to New York, as you might imagine, and she's been selling some of her pictures as prints and as stock photos, some of which got published in national outlets like IGN and Time.
As for me, I started working as a senior iOS developer at Booker Software in February. It seemed crazy to change careers from writing to software but it's been such a great experience and I love what I'm doing now. My team at Booker is great to work with but I'm also excited to get back to work on my apps with Stacey for Thinx now that we have a little more spare time. Also, I haven't completely stopped writing. I'm still maintaining my robots blog which is now a featured blog on Tumblr.
Best wishes from us to all of you for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Joe & Stacey
